Tideline Tactics

Tideline Tactics is a serious strategy game that somehow works great on a phone. You move units across a hex grid, manage supply lines, and fight over control points. The UI is the real win here — everything is legible even on a 6-inch screen, and tapping a unit shows its range clearly without clutter.

Matches take about fifteen minutes, which is a sweet spot. Long enough to feel like a real game, short enough to finish on a break. There's an offline campaign that ramps up nicely and teaches mechanics without a wall of tutorial text.

It does chew through battery when the AI takes long turns, so I'd keep it plugged in for a marathon session. Otherwise, the touch controls are precise and I rarely misclicked.
