The Best Games For A Five-Minute Break
Some of my most-played mobile games aren't the deepest ones. They're the ones I can open for five minutes, get something out of, and close without feeling like I abandoned a mission mid-way.
The key is a natural stopping point. Puzzle of Petals lets you finish one board and be done. Tideline Tactics has compact fifteen-minute matches. Big Bass Boat lets you land a catch and put the phone away satisfied.
Games that punish you for leaving — energy timers, long unskippable sequences — don't survive on my phone. If I have to schedule my life around a game's loop, it goes.
My short list right now leans toward puzzles and light sims, because they load fast and don't demand full attention. Perfect for a queue, a break, or those ten minutes before a meeting.
